"Worst Flu Season in a Decade"
_edited.jpg)
This year’s flu season has arrived five weeks earlier than expected, and scientists warn it could be the worst in a decade. A newly mutated strain of H3N2 flu is spreading rapidly, especially among school-aged children, and appears to partially evade existing immunity.
The NHS has issued a “flu jab SOS”, urging everyone eligible — including children, healthcare staff, and vulnerable groups — to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
At Vaccination UK, we’re working with schools and communities across the country to ensure every child has access to their free flu vaccine.
As Prof Nicola Lewis from the Francis Crick Institute reminds us: “This is absolutely the most important year to get vaccinated.”

Flu season is here — and so is Corporate Flu!
We kicked off the week with our Corporate Flu Vaccination Programme at Doncaster Local Authority, delivering workplace flu vaccinations to their fantastic team. It was an early start at North Bridge Depot, but a great success — the staff were incredibly welcoming, and it’s inspiring to see so many people taking proactive steps to protect themselves and their colleagues this winter.
A huge thank you to our amazing team for their dedication today and for supporting the many upcoming sessions we have planned.

We’re proud to donate our unused stock to charities helping communities both in the UK and overseas — reducing waste and making a positive impact worldwide.
By donating unused stock through Greener Options Ltd and the Phoenix Resource Centre, we’re helping to support hospitals, schools, and community projects — from local food banks to initiatives as far as East Africa.
We’ve also been able to support the Jarjeer Donkey and Mule Refuge in Morocco, a sanctuary that rescues and rehabilitates working animals while creating employment and opportunities for local people.
Together, we’re proving that sustainability and compassion go hand in hand.
Are you home educating your child?
Make sure they’re protected from flu this winter!
If your child is 4–16 years old, they’re eligible for their free flu vaccine — and it’s one of the simplest ways to protect them, your family, and your community. We also offer the nasal flu vaccine up to age 25 in SEN schools. Choose what’s best for your child:
NASAL VACCINE
Highly recommended for children
Most effective at reducing the spread of flu
Painless, quick and effective
Free for children
INJECTION
Also effective at reducing the spread of flu
Gelatine-free alternative for those who can’t have the nasal spray
Free for children
By vaccinating your child, you help stop flu from spreading and reduce the risk of hospitalisation among children and vulnerable individuals. Together, we can keep our communities healthy this winter.
